Role
As Senior Writer for BRR, Mike's role is to ensure strategy and design is complemented by words that effectively communicate the brand and bring it alive. Mike concentrates on writing brand-related literature, developing storytelling techniques and ensuring the power of each brand is leveraged through the written word.
Background
The starting point of a great brand is the written word. Few people understand the importance of a scripted cornerstone. How else can you capture the ethos of a brand? Images alone are not sufficient. They merely depict style.
Mike is a former national broadcaster, promotions manager, public relations director, and regional tourism CEO and is able to comfortably traverse the communications terrain between business, PR and creative writing. As well as co-authoring two books, Mike has produced detailed feasibility studies on such topics as New Zealand Wine and Food Tourism, and written and produced national TV commercials and videos.
